Like stories shared around a campfire, Project Kampfire’s programs bring youth together to learn, grow, and build lasting relationships. Our initiatives are designed to empower youth, nurture growth, and inspire action. We focus on providing accessible opportunities for young people to build connections, develop leadership skills, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. From fully subsidized summer camps to dynamic outdoor education experiences, every initiative is guided by our commitment to fun, safety, and growth.
We prioritize creating inclusive environments that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a sense of belonging. Through hands-on learning, outdoor exploration, and meaningful mentorship, participants gain the tools and confidence to thrive. Summer Camp
Project Kampfire’s summer camp, called Kamp Kiwanis, provides a fully subsidized experience for youth, ensuring that financial barriers never stand in the way of growth, adventure, and connection. More than just a getaway, our camp is a place where young people build friendships, develop confidence, and learn the value of teamwork and leadership. Through outdoor exploration, hands-on learning, and community building, campers leave with lasting memories, new skills, and a deeper appreciation for nature and their role in the world.
Outdoor School
Project Kampfire’s Outdoor School is designed to increase environmental literacy, awareness, and action by immersing youth in hands-on learning experiences in nature. Through exploration, discussion, and teamwork, participants develop a deeper understanding of ecosystems, sustainability, and their role in protecting the environment. By fostering curiosity and critical thinking, we empower young people to become informed, responsible stewards of the natural world—equipped to make a lasting impact in their communities.
Scholarship
The Project Kampfire Scholarship supports youth in their pursuit of education and personal growth. Open to the general public, with preference given to those connected to Project Kampfire—especially participants in our summer initiatives, this scholarship empowers young people to continue their learning journey with confidence. Rooted in our mission to inspire critical thinking, community connection, and lifelong growth, this opportunity provides recipients with the support they need to take the next step toward a brighter future.
